interperating the brief

interpreting the brief

this brief is about creating a haircut tutorial video that will be used for education purposes for students that do barbering corses. The client for this project is Sunderland college, salon professionals department, the barbering within Sunderland college is based in Sunderland city centre in the city campus building the lecture for this corse is mark sowerby and the students vary from level 2 to level 3.

The target audience for this brief are barbering students in Sunderland college aged 16-18 year olds that are interested in the barbering industry. The requirements for this video are to create a short instructional video on how to give a specific haircut which the client designed this instruction guide will be used for educational purposes it will be used to support learners and develop their skill.

The deadline for this project is on the 24th may 2021 and the resubmission deadline is on the 14th June 2021 which gives me 35 days to complete the requirements then I have  another 3 weeks to get feedback and work around that feedback from the client to deliver my work to the required professional criteria. to make the instructional video appealing to the audience the video will have a voice over and subtitles (optional). The mise-en-scene in the documentary will be appealing to the audience very much because it will show the tools used, who is the test sample and instructional cut away on how to do a complete haircut, the language and tools in the video will tell the audience that this is a barbering video and the voice over will make it clear which instructional haircut video this will be specifically.

The video will have high key lightning to make the instructions look clear  in bright light so the audience watching won't miss a step also the high key lightning will be helpful for camera shots like the ECU or the CU to eliminate any shading or darker contrast in the video so its clearly visible, which will appeal to the audience when watching the instructional guide. the video will be viewed on the Sunderland college salon professionals department website which could be found in the main Sunderland college website menus.

this brief interpretation has helped me to gather partial research about my client, target audience and product that I have to create and the submission deadlines that have been set, it also informs me about how much time I have for my project and the clients requirements that I will follow to deliver my final product.
